It's really a shame that, for such a large album, we got such a small remix compilation. But I suppose, being an all instrumental album, "Holonomy" is pretty difficult to remix. That being said, even the tracks on the weaker side employ sound design mastery that is almost on parallel with Vorso himself.
- Badlands - Clockvice Remix - Some big bass hits expand the initial atmosphere quite well, allowing this remix to quickly move into the interesting parts. And honestly, on the first drop, Clockvice seriously delivers, moving "Badlands" away from its original neurofunk pacing into a filthy trap drop. From there, the melodic synths slot into the mix uncannily well, as does the more minimal, brooding drop and a particularly fluttery one. (/100)
- Searcher of Dockyards - BVSSIC Remix - Mixing two tracks together instead of just remixing them separately is quite funny to me, but I like the idea. Even though these were two of the weaker tracks from "Holonomy", BVSSIC adds enough impact and new flair to make this (re)mix really stick. (/100)
- Offshore Platform - djeb Remix - I don't know how to feel about the inclusion of the vocal - I don't think I like it very much, honestly - but the staggered production hits in a very similar way to the original, which was a very difficult feeling to capture. The jagged, melodic sound design is also very well done, weaved in with all the original motifs and the cavernous final drop. (/100)
- Holonomy - Pedestrian Tactics - Opening up with a meaty house movement proves to be a good choice for this remix, and Pedestrian Tactics does nothing but fiddle endlessly with sound design for the entire two minutes, and yet it still sounds vaguely reminiscient of the original track. A bit of a strange listen, but a strong one nevertheless. (/100)
- Big Drum - Glacier Remix - It does annoy me that this track doesn't have a big drum anymore at the start. Glacier's natural, liquidy sound design is fantastic though, and interplays with Vorso's original synthwork very nicely, even if it does lose its direction at times. Ultimately it feels more like a Glacier track than a befitting remix - I mean, I love Glacier's stuff, but what's the point of remixing "Big Drum" if you're not going to include a big drum? (/100)
- Facets - WAVHART Remix - WAVHART modulates the synth a little more, but mostly maintains quite a few motifs from the original. But the rhythm changes are drastically different, and uniquely so because they add a very interesting flavour to what was quite a cute original track. It's definitely well written, however, it can be a little abrasive at times, and though the crystally synth hits are really nice, this remix isn't quite consistent enough overall. (/100)
